We spent the day at Lake Michigan today. Decided as soon as we woke up we didn't want to sit around the house all day. Packed a picnic, a good book, beach towels and off we went. As we haul our cooler, beach chairs, swim toys, buckets, shovels, beach bags we watched a young couple get out of the car, pull out a towel and head for the water..How carefree? They were kind of snickering about us, laughing at all the gear we carried..Yeah, that was me. And I thank God everyday for being able to carry all this fun stuff. What an awesome day for thanking God while observing all he has given to us. Watching my adorable little boy jump around, play, swim, laugh and enjoy the beach. I sat in my beach chair and let everything just soak in. The smell of the air, the cool breeze, the warm sand on my toes, the giggles of the children on the beach, the waves crashing into the shore. Just a great day.
