This past week I made the decision to be healthier. Physically, mentally, and all other ways to be healthier! I was talking with a friend yesterday on the phone about how you can talk on and on about how we need to do something to get healthier and how we should do something, but then one day- it just clicks. And the next day? You're totally ready! Last week after I took Daniel to school I started walking by the lake. The first day, I'll admit my legs and backside were complaining the minute I stepped out of the car. The next day I was ok but winded at the end, and on the third day it was so easy and felt GREAT! Throughout the week I walked 18 miles! Awesome. I actually look forward to tomorrow morning taking him and doing it again. What is nice for me is the time alone. I pray, listen to praise music and just have a few minutes to really listen(something I'm working on) for Him. I enjoy walking, I always have. I just could find 1,000 other things I need to do instead! Sometimes in the hustle and bustle of life it's hard for women to make time for us. Instead we run around in circles taking care of everything and everyone. I made a decsision that my health is just as important as taking care of my family. My friend Nicci put up a post that really made me stop and think. And it also kicked me in gear to get going. It's nice to have a support group. People who deal with the same issues I do on a daily basis and the same struggles of staying in shape! Thanks for the boost Nicci-I'm right here with you on this ride!!
This week brings school, church, the start of Steve's graduate classes, a new prayer group I'm looking forward to and then Football in Evart on Friday night. My menu for the week is up on my refrigerator and we're all stocked up for yummy healthy recipes!! My walks will take place and hopefully we'll have a family fun fitness night as well!
I hope everyone has a blessed week!!
