My new niece arrived yesterday and I was even there to help deliver! SO awesome. Such a privilege.. Emma Grace was born last night at 9:55pm(I had guessed 10:00) and is 7lbs and 7ozs. Such a sweet little girl. I'll try to post some pictures later of her. It was so fun to rock her and talk to her for a few minutes while the Doctor was finishing up with Mom.
Holding little Emma made my heart almost leap out of my chest. The want for another child is sooooo huge on my heart right now. I have to keep reminding myself it is on all God's time. It's all in God's time. I won't lie, it's hard. It's hard not to ask him-why me? It's tough, but I keep in mind how blessed we really are. God gave us a beautiful little boy almost 5(gasp!)years ago. I know there are tons of couples out there who would be ecstatic to have a first one (I know, I was one of them). However, it doesn't make it easier when you really want to add another person to your family. I just keep praying, and thanking God for everything He is doing and will continue to do in my life. I know he has a plan, and I know it's a good one...I'm just a little impatient at times(ok..most of the time).
I did my walk yesterday and then headed to the Orthodontist for my "fun" monthly visit. I would like to report that my Orthodontist and I are now very good friends. He informed me my braces are coming off on the 29th of this month!!YIPEEEEEEE! The date we had talked about was actually in December for them to come off, but things are looking great and he's ready to get them off. I can not explain to you how excited I am to be finished with this(and the payment)!!!!
I'm still doing great with my walks. Tomorrow's plan is to walk all the way around the lake- 7.5 miles. I think I'm ready(thank you God that Grandma's house is along the way...just in case!!).
Have a blessed day. I'm cleaning like a mad-woman this afternoon. This place seems to be a bit out of control and things have fallen through the cracks with the start of the school year. I plan on cleaning all afternoon, then making a yummy dinner of lean-trimmed chops with sauteed(in EVOO) apples and onions to top, fresh corn on the grill, and multi-grain rolls. All of this followed by a healthy peach smoothie!!
What are you making this evening?

Aw, Heather. I wish you a blessing when the time is right. Your attitude is perfect and the way you are taking care of yourself will pay off in big ways! Good luck on that walk!! (and, btw - we're doing turkey tacos tonight with LOTS of veggies!)
What your having sounds good to me! There are leftovers, but I am thinking steak & sweet potato & tossed salad.
You know I understand about holding your little niece & how you can have such mixed feelings... love her to pieces, but wish she were yours. Sometimes I think we need to have a support group for couples going through this????
Glad to hear about your smile... just in time for NFOL!!! Yeah!!
Mmmmm.....can we come for dinner? I just got home, and it's looking like leftovers for us! Though Hayden is begging for taco salad, so I'll see what I can throw together!
7.5 miles!!!! Wow, you go! I loved walking and biking the lake path when we lived in Cadillac. We have a bike/walk trail here through the woods, but nothing like walking by the lake.
YOu know that I'm praying that God will bless you with another little one in His perfect timing....maybe even twins!!!
