Spring?

I decided to change my colors today. I'm in need of some fresh colors. The grey skies, gloomy weather, patches of ugly grass showing under old snow is wearing on me. I am so ready for spring. Ready for the windows to be open, go out for walks, eat outside on the grass and WARMTH! Seems like this winter has been extra hard and extra long, maybe we all say that at the end of March. But this year, it seems like it has been snowing forever.

I can't believe this weekend is already Easter. It is so early this year and in my mind I feel like I have another 2 weeks. Today we're going to make Easter Cookies in the shape of eggs and frost them with pink and green frosting(by request of the 4yr old of the house).

The rest of the week will be full of reading stories about Jesus,

coloring Easter eggs and hopefully a little playing outside at some point.

This weekend brings a nice family dinner in Midland at Logan's(YUMMY!)

followed by worship Sunday morning and probably a nice quiet Easter dinner that afternoon.

I long for a nice mild day to have an Easter Egg hunt, but I am not holding my breath!

I keep thinking warm thoughts(I'm even playing Jimmy Buffett today)

and it has to get warmer soon, RIGHT?
