We had a really nice Thanksgiving Dinner. Just the 3 of us.
I broke out my new dishes(Thanks again Mom! I LOVELOVELOVE them!!)
And my most favorite wooden bowl(another Thanks to my MotherInLaw!)
Even though we missed our families, it was really nice to spend a holiday together.

This Thanksgiving we all ate at our table. We've never had a Thanksgiving at home.
We spend our holidays traveling from house to house to spend time with family members.
This was our first, and I loved it.
This was our first, and I loved it.
When we sat down to eat,I realized how much it meant to me.
I loved having Thanksgiving at our table. Not just because the 2 people I love
the most were sitting there, but because of the people that have sat there before us.
Our dinning room table is very special to us, and has quite a history.
It's served as a gathering for some pretty important people.
It has held Mom's and Dad's, brothers and sisters, Grand Children and LOTS of other family members. It's had extra chairs added when needed and always had enough room
for a wheelchair at the head of the table for each meal served.
It has been stretched to the max with every leaf in it serving Italian Christmas dinner, and has had every leaf removed and chairs stored when the house had to go. This table has moved to a little tiny apartment ready for a fresh start and was taken down and stored in a basement when Grandma was gone. And now it sits in a little house in Northern Michigan.
This table has held bibles for prayer, tissue boxes after funerals,
and car seats that held brand new babies during visits to a Great Grandmother.
To most, its just a big beautiful oak table...to us..there is a history behind it.
A history we won't forget.
And every night when we sit at it as a family
and say our prayer, we can't help but remember who sat at this table first.
