Weekend Highlights..

Our weekends lately seem to fly by. We are approaching the part of summer where we find ourselves counting down the weekends and the free time we have left of summer break.
We had a great, although busy weekend. Here are some highlights:

~A nice dinner at North Peak Brewery in Traverse City catching up with a great friend we hadn't seen in a long time.
~Spending a little time in downtown Traverse City during their first "Friday Night Live". Fun to listen to local musicians that sit on the sidewalk entertaining, watching jugglers, sampling some of the fabulous local restaurants that had little booths out in the street. Something I hope we enjoy as a family again very soon!
~Catching a movie in Traverse City(No white bowl this time Jen....), one of the funniest movies i've seen in a long time..
~Enjoying a nice BIG family get-together Saturday afternoon. We had a turn out of over 125 people. SO much fun! It was awesome to have so many branches of family and friends...It was a GREAT time..Mom and D- You guys are the best!!!
~A great Sunday morning message with fabulous music and then spending some quality time with my Mother and Father-in-law before they made the trek back home.
~Teaching Daniel to cast with his new fishing pole in preparation for our upcoming camping trip!

We are busily getting our gear cleaned up and repacked as we get ready to leave Tuesday for our 4 day camping trip to Otsego State Park in Gaylord.
This will be Daniel's first camping trip. I am very excited about it-and so is he! A week of dirt, swimming(hopefully), fishing and more dirt...He's REALLY excited about it!!!
