A Lazy Sunday after a VERY Full weekend!

I love Sundays at our house.

Cuddling up together in our bed.
Big breakfasts. Church servics with fabulous music and a
heart warming message. An afternoon of reading stories.
Long naps. Football on TV. The only day I can curl up with a book
and not feel guilty. No laundry at our house today. No cleaning.
Just good family time.

Our weekend was extremely busy. Normally we pick a night
of the weekend to do something and then have the rest
of it for ourselves. However, this weekend we had something
going every minute!

Friday started off with a trip to Midland to see Mom and Dad
Watkins right after school. After having dinner and getting Daniel
into bed, Steve and I snuck off for a chance to see
"We Are Marshall" Don't pass up the chance to see this.
Date nights are not something we often do. We are blessed to have
them available so we can escape-
even if its only for 2 hours!!!

Saturday morning bright and early we were off to Saginaw for The Shrine Circus. I have to be honest, the circus was not my first choice of an activity, however, Daniel enjoyed all the fun the Circus brings. It was hard to capture a good shot because of how busy a circus is. If you have never taken your family to The Shrine Circus, its an experience you won't want to miss out on. This was Daniel's favorite clown, mainly because he was a "firefighter" clown. Actually, I think
he's a police officer, but I was not going to argue with my 3 year old!

After the Circus we headed back up north to get ready for the christian concert held at our church. Michael Gungor and his band performed at our church Saturday night and we were there to enjoy their music. What an spirit filled concert. I am constantly amazed at how awesome it is to watch teens and pre-teens give themselves completely to God. If you get a chance to check
them out visit www.michaelgungor.com
They are awesome men and women of God!

Oh, and I would have to totally agree about the circus....we took the kids a couple of months ago and while it would definitely NOT be a first choice for me, the kids enjoyed it and were awed by some of the sights, sounds and tastes.

Heather,
Just thought I would share with you this little tibit from your childhood.
As I read you story of Dan's visit to the Circus, it took me back to the very first time your Dad and I took you to the Circus! You were not quite 2 years old, and you were totaslly mezmerized by everything. And as fate would have it, it was also the Shriner Circus in Saginaw. We were living in Frankenmuth at the time. Love,
Mom
