So sorry to my blog readers. For the past 4 nights I've tried to blog and post pictures and blogger keeps kicking me off!(must be because I'm a slacker when it comes to posting!!!)
We have really packed in some activities over the past few days.
*A fun trip to Cadillac to fish, hike and just hang out. It was so nice to be "us" and to soak up our time with Daniel. So fun to listen to him talk about things and ask such amazing questions.
*A couple days of hanging by the pool and relaxing.
*Day trip to Leland and fishtown where we got some yummy smoked whitefish, a delicious variety of cheeses and some fresh baked bread. If you've never been to Leland you should certainly plan a day of it. Such a quaint historic town and cute little "shacks" with awesome treasures in it. My boys even found me a couple beautiful pieces of jewelry at a little beaded jewelry shack on the canal. We spent Mother's Day in fishtown last year and Daniel remembered picking me out a piece. This year he asked if he could do it again. Such a sweet little boy!!!
*We said goodbye to our sweet houseguest on Sunday afternoon. We had such a great time playing with her and giving her lots of cuddles we were sad to see her go! Daniel asked yesterday when she was coming back!!
*A nice visit with Gma&Gpa Watkins yesterday. Spent the day catching up-they have had quite a summer!-fixing our garden tractor, a little pool time, a trip to the farmers market for Gma and I and then a nice dinner before they headed home.
*Today we woke up and headed over to Lake Michigan. Throughout the summer we normally spend A LOT of time at Lake Michigan. This year, we haven't had much time to get over there. The weather this morning/early afternoon was beautiful. For us there is something about walking over the dune catching the first look of Lake Michigan that relaxes us and takes us away. We enjoyed playing in the sand, soaking up the sun and swimming in the lake. After that we enjoyed an early dinner at the local A&W. So yummy!!!
On our way home I was reminded by my sweet husband that 10 years ago today he asked me to marry him! I can't believe it's been that long. So amazing how fast time flies! I love you so much honey! Thank you for making me the luckiest girl in the world!!!!
