Monday...

I want to be that Mom.

You know the one, has the best ideas for crafts, comes up with the best birthday treats, has her house cleaned all the time and you never see her "undone".

Yeah..i'm not that Mom. I've come to realize it, and i'm ok with it.

I'm the Mom that searches the web for weeks,

looking for that perfect birthday snack idea

only to show up at school seeing that one of the other Moms found the same recipe.

But today..I won the gold star.

I made spider cupcakes and my little boy thought they were

the most awesome thing in the whole world.

His quote was "Mama...those are the coolest cupcakes ever..."

He didn't care that I couldn't find the black rope licorice.
Thank God I found it at all. We stopped at 8 different stores searching

for it today. I was almost out of luck.

His birthday is Wens, but tomorrow is his school birthday.

He's so excited.

This is what I waited all those years for..to do the school cupcakes,

birthday parties and all the other fun stuff..

I love being a Mom.

Especially times like tonight,

when I hit the ball out of the park..

Daniel: mama, are we going to grama and grampa's house today?
Me: nope buddy, not till Friday.

Daniel: ok. Next time we go, can I ride in my bag?

Me: ummm...i'm sure your seatbelt won't fit around you while in the bag..

Daniel:Ok.I'll get out of it when we ride in the car, but I want you

to carry me around in my bag..

Me:sure buddy, why not.

If you had a Daddy with shoulders this big..wouldn't you want to sit on him all the time?
