Today was the first day of preschool.
Daniel is attending a local Christian school in our area 2 days a week for 3 hours.
I asked him- buddy, can I get a hug?
he says"yeah, but then you need to leave!"
Could he just pretend he's heartbroken over this?
Pretend for me that this is hard?
Nope.
"Bye mom! Love you!"(yelled from across the room while his head is in the lego bin)
Then, I cried. I left my heart in that cute little preschool room.
But, it was in great hands..
He had a great day.
I couldn't wait to pick him up.
Neither could Steve(during his planning/lunch hour so he came with me)
He rambled on and on forever..
He loves it.

What a milestone! This is the first of so many fun school experiences......and soon you'll be sending him off to a full day of first grade.....so savor these preschool moments. They are so sweet (though first grade is pretty sweet, too!). HAve fun this year, Daniel!
I am so glad that it was so easy for him. He is a great kid but look out now mom here come the playdates with all those great friends he meets. It is nice that both of you were able to be there to experience such a milestone in boyhood. What a beautiful family!Give my little man BIG huggies from us and tell him we are so very proud of him.
