Hello From Midland!!!

At our house Football is life.
4 yrs ago my husband began coaching for Midland Dow High School. When you coach for a team that is an hour and a half away, there are some obstacles you have to work around. At the begining of football season comes 2/days. Steve has to be in Midland Monday-Friday from 7am to 230-300 every day. Obviously driving back and forth isn't even an option. So, during these 2 weeks, we pack up our stuff, our dogs and off to Midland we go. Steve spends his time with football, and Daniel and I get to spend time with not only Grandma and Grandpa, but Daniel's cousins, friends and even some extended family. We eat dinner as a group every night(something my Mother-in-law LOVES) Daniel and I get a mini vacation in and we don't have to go 5 days at a time without seeing Daddy. Something Daniel is not good at! This week we plan to can sweet pickles, visit the various spray parks around town, go see HairSpray(not with daniel of course) and just hang out.
Next week is another 5 day adventure that will include a Loon's minor league baseball game, hopefully a visit to the zoo and play time with our cousins! Should be a very exciting 2 weeks! I'm heading up to the house tomorrow evening to grab some of my scrapbooking items and look forward to working on a few projects while i'm here.

This past weekend was our 4th annual family reunion on Steve's side of the family. Lots of people, FABULOUS food and a great time. This is one of the weekends we look forward to all summer long. Catching up with family that you only see once a year. We are blessed to be part of such a great extended family. We had a great time talking, laughing and telling stories. Since last years reunion we have lost Steve's Uncle Dan and his Grandmother. 2 people that are greatly missed by this group. It was nice to be together as a family and be able to talk about how much we miss them..

Well, I hope to post pictures tomorrow of our sweet pickle canning adventure at Steve's Uncle Joe's house. Should be a great time(please lord, don't let it rain..)

Have a great night!!!
