100 things that make me happy..

1. A nice long phone chat with a good friend
2. Mail! The good kind of mail with cards and letters!
3. Babies that just get out of the bathtub and smell like heaven
4. Having lunch with my little bro
5. Used book shops
6. Vacations..
7. A great new book
8. Spending time with my 2 favorite boys in the whole world
9. Good messages on Sunday mornings. Makes the week complete
10. Cook-outs
11. Swimming in the pool
12. Spending the day at Lake Michigan.
13. A&W Root Beer coolers
14. Crisp Diet Coke from McDonalds with HEAVY ice…
15. Family Dinners with the entire Watkins family
16. Listening to Daniel “read” a story to me
17. Reading stories to Daniel
18. Going out for Dinner..
19. A new haircut, something about a new haircut puts you in a great mood.
20. High School Football Season- only about 5 weeks away now. Love this time of year. Extremely exciting.. Go Chargers!!!
21. Taking Daniel to the park and watching him explore and run and climb and play and laugh. My favorite thing to listen to.
22. Baby Announcements.. Reminds me to thank God for giving us new life..
23. Date night-something we don’t do very often. We talk all the time about making it a standing date, but it just never works out that way.
24. Old barns, the smell, the way they look, everything about them. I’d love to take pictures of tons of old barns and put them into a book.
25. New clothes

27. Shopping.. for anything; Groceries, clothes, shoes.. you name it.. I’ll shop for it..

51. Fall days- My most favorite thing to do on a fall day is go for a drive or just take a nice walk and enjoy all the beautiful colors God fills our world with.
52. Christmas shopping. Most of the time, I like to do this alone. I find myself wondering all through the mall and getting lost in the aisle searching for the perfect gifts.

56. A clean house. This is one of the things that makes me happiest. I love it when I wake up in the morning and the house is clean. Normally, I even stay up another ½ hour just to pick up so I don’t have to start my day cleaning up the toys and other stuff laying around.
57. Painting with my son
58. Picnics. Either in the house on the living room floor, outside on the cool grass or at a picnic table at a park.
59. Mom’s Night out! I LOVE Mom’s night out. I love getting a chance to reconnect with friends after not seeing them too much. This is something our group tries to do once per month(sometimes its longer than that) but its always fun!!
60. Old Houses. I want to live in something with character and history. No brand new house for me, give me a fixer upper any day, with wood trim and squeaky floors!
61. Playing Candy Land as a family.
62. It makes me happy that in 10 months I’ll have my braces off! YIPEEEEEEE!!!
63. Long drives. Makes me always remember back to when my hub and I were first dating and we used to go for long drives just talking and enjoying each other. Good memories..
64.Little coffee shops. I don’t drink coffee, but I LOVE to stop into coffee shops for a drink of something(besides coffee) and enjoy the smells.
65. Downtown shopping. No matter where you go, always shop downtown. Support local businesses and enjoy all the fun things they have to offer.
66.Good chocolate. Never underestimate a good piece of chocolate. At the end of a bad day, it could be your saving grace!
67.My Ipod makes me VERY happy. If you can, get one. I got mine used on Ebay for a very reasonable price. Load it with your favorite songs. I have everything from Praise and Worship music to James Taylor and Bare Naked Ladies.. This is seriously one of my most favorite things..
68. Discovering the new PotteryBarn catalog in the mail..
69. Waking up to breakfast already made, just waiting for me to walk downstairs and eat!!
70. Going Camping! I love camping. Of course I need bathrooms and electricity, but I love camping… Wish we did it more often. Hopefully next summer
71. WIRELESS INTERNET!!! I have to tell you, after dealing with dial-up in the middle of nowhere, I’m in LOVE with my wireless service. I would gladly give up a lot of things for this!!
72. TiVo, my other vice. Again.. this little feature on our TV is the best! I love to watch certain shows, but never seem to be able to be in front of the TV at that time. Thank God for TiVo!!!
73. Quiet time. Nothing more to say. This seriously makes me happy.
74.Making smore’s in the backyard.. Daniel won’t eat them because he hates getting sticky, but every once in a while, Steve and I just HAVE to make them!!!
75. New recipes. A couple months ago I stumbled upon a chicken recipe online and whipped it up. Now its become my families favorite dinner!
76.Going to the Zoo..
77.Organized closets. Something that made me very happy over the past 2 days. Nothing makes you happy quite like a closet that is clean, organized and TOO FULL!
78. Listening to the Praise and Worship band at our church. Gets me fired up some days and can bring me to tears other days. We have a ROCKIN’ band. Awesome.
79. Fresh Baked Homemade bread. Hot, Steamy and full of butter(yep fattening) but who cares.. Its fabulous
80. Finding all the right coupons in Sunday’s paper!!(Thank you to Ruthie Ruth for introducing me to the Grocery Game!!!)
81. Organizing my scrap room. Love finding all the “buried” treasures I come across that I keep forgetting I have!
82. Hanging laundry on a clothesline.. Love the smell and the way it looks.
83. Finding money in pockets while doing laundry. Seriously makes me happy. It’s like finding free money(although now that I think about it.. It started out as my money, why do I get so excited about it??) If I wouldn’t have found it in the washer, wouldn’t it technically be lost?
84. Blogging makes me happy! I love this. I look forward to writing in it almost everyday! And it seems as though my family loves it too, because if I miss a day, they all email me asking where my blog is for that day…
85. Holding babies makes me happy. Makes me long for another baby. Held one the other day and was trying to figure out how I could keep her without her Mommy freaking out.. Couldn’t come up with a good plan, so I had to give her back..
86. Am I almost to 100??? Creating handmade gifts for people makes me happy. As long as I know they actually enjoy them. I once made a baby gift for someone and they told me(out loud) they really didn’t like it… I was crushed. But most of the time, people love it and that makes me happy..
87. ScrapInStyleTV.com makes me very happy. Cool place with cool chicks..

88. Rummage Sales. Finding great deals at rummage sales is the best!
89. Playing Bingo with my 80yr old Grandmother. I know, and yes, I am younger than anyone there by about 40 years, but she loves it and that in itself makes me happy
90. Going to the movies. Unfortunately, my hubby doesn’t love going to the movies, but I do. My sister-in-law and I are married to brothers that don’t go to the theatre, so whenever we can escape, we always try to enjoy a good chic-flick.
91. Playing scrabble. Playing any games make me happy. But I love scrabble even though I’m really bad at it.
92. Picking fresh vegetables and fruits from our garden.
93. Making homemade jam

95. Having clean teeth makes me happy. Getting them cleaned is no good, but once they are done, there is nothing better!!!
96. Daisies. They always make me smile.
97. Jumping in mud-puddles with Daniel.. He laughs so hard it’s contagious. I love watching him be silly!
