I'm in Awe..

Tonight we headed into Cadillac for music in the park.

In Cadillac, they do that almost every week in the summer.

Tonight, it was battle of the bands. 5 bands perform and

the best one obviously wins. We went to watch the praise bands

from our church. We have a young people's rock band called One

and then our Saturday night band- Res Life Rocks.

They are both christian rock groups. And they ROCK!

The other 3 bands were hard rock bands..ones that DON'T sing christian music..

Tonight, One went first. A group of 7 young adults. All still

in high school. I have to tell you, I was IMPRESSED! They

were really really good. The one thing that I was impressed

about the most was how into praising God they were.

Here are a group of young adults singing in front of Hundreds of

people(and not all of them came out to hear praise music-if you know what I mean..)

however, these young men and women sang their hearts out for God.

Arms in the air, tears down cheeks. They didn't care who was looking,

they didn't care that they might not have looked "cool"..

They were there to praise God....To please him..Not for anyone else..

Isn't that AWESOME?? And..they did look cool..very cool..

In a world where you often hear how "bad" this generation of young

people are, there is light.

Not all young people are into drugs,

not all of them are into drinking, and other extra curricular activities...

Some of them want to praise God and give their hearts over to him completely.

Tonight...I was in awe..

It brought a tear to my eye and really warmed my heart.
One..you guys ROCK!!
