He tells us this everyday. She's our neighbor and for a while
they went to the same daycare. That's where their love started.
Both have been asking to play together since Daniel stopped
daycare after spring break. Its just never worked out..
But, the other day it finally worked out for them to play.
I was at the dinning room table doing some scrapbooking
and they headed upstairs to play in the playroom and Daniels room.
At first they announced they were going up to Daniel's bedroom to
"sleep together"
My husband (being the high school teacher) immediately
looked up from what he was doing as I reminded him
the meaning of that at 3years old is very very different than at 17yrs old...
Anyways..After a few minutes of hearing them stomping around,
dumping out toys, laughing, arguing..it got quiet..Like REALLY quiet.
So..I head up the steps to see what they had gotten into.
I couldn't figure out where they had gone...
Then I heard a giggle..and another giggle.. Still no kids..
This is where I found them.
Side by side in Daniel's barn toy box, each with a flashlight
and about 25 books...They were reading stories to each other.
They are so cute together. I love listening to their conversations..
They do have a lot to say.
Whatever she wanted to play, he would drop everything to be with her.

When she came down the steps, he held her hand so she wouldn't fall.
Daniel has a loft bed, and she wasn't used to coming down the ladder,

so he helped her down. What a sweet little boy. I was very proud of him.
Hopefully, he'll always be that way.
They ran from the first floor to the 2nd floor about a million times
They ran from the first floor to the 2nd floor about a million times
during the 2 hours she was over. They colored, fed the goldfish(I think they
fed them like 10 times..yikes) colored some more, dumped the entire
collection of Thomas the Train buckets out and I believe i'll be picking up
marbles until they are in high school...
But, he wubs her..awot..
