Monday April 30th

This is Truman..
He's a 135lb pure bred lab that we rescued in 2001.
He was 4 years old and when we rescued him, he was so skinny you could see his heart beat through his chest. As you can tell, this is now not a problem! We have worked so hard with our big dog. He was and continues to be a great big scaredy cat-who is not only scared of water but also gun shy as well! Its great since he is a LAB. But despite all of that, we still love him. He's very good with Daniel, at times I was nervous because Truman is so skittish, but the only problem we had was that Truman wanted to be so close to Daniel he practically laid on him! Daniel has come to realize that if Truman is walking by him, get out of the way or he'll knock him over!!!
Today is his 10th Birthday. Not only have we fallen in love with him, but so have our families.
Daniel and I were outside throwing the ball and I've noticed that as he gets older, we have to be kinder to his body. After about 4 throws he laid on his ball out in the field. That normally means hes finished.
We're going to have to work on him more as the weather gets nicer!!!

I'm supposed to list 7 random things about myself. I put 7 things on
her blog and decided to list 7 different ones here..

1. The very first time I met my in-laws I was so nervous I threw up
right before dinner(and they aren't THAT scary!!)
2. My first sentence as a little girl was "I want to see the doggie"
and the funny thing about that is, Daniel's first sentence was "I want to see the kitty"
3. I often find myself buying my son shirts and wondering if I have scrapbook paper that will match it!
4. My first job was at an ice cream parlor.
5. I have 6 YOUNGER siblings.
6. My first car was a Ford LTD...metallic brown..(sweet ride, I know)
7. I love love love to eat spinach out of a can with vinegar, salt and pepper on it..
